SDL NOBEL supported critical shutdown operations on the Absheron platform, providing the manpower and resources required to deliver a safe and efficient turnaround. The works were executed under a contract with Wood on behalf of the operator, JOCAP.
Project scope
A platform shutdown is among the most demanding offshore campaigns, compressing large volumes of maintenance, inspection and repair activity into a tight, fixed window. SDL NOBEL mobilised qualified personnel and integrated fully with the operator and Wood project organisation.
- Mobilisation of qualified shutdown manpower and resources
- Mechanical, fabrication and support activities
- Strict adherence to the agreed permit-to-work and isolation procedures
- HSE-compliant shutdown execution in a live offshore environment
“Every task was planned and supervised under the constraints of a live platform — the shutdown was completed with safety performance fully maintained.”
Result
Through reliable resources and disciplined execution, the shutdown was completed safely and efficiently, supporting the timely return of the Absheron platform to normal production operations. All works were carried out in line with the agreed HSE and ISO 9001 quality framework.
